Just saw this comment, sorry about the delay.

I'm still 100% working on PPV traffic. No PPC (though I have some ideas I want to play with and may test PPC again soon...)

I'm not doing $1k/day or more anymore unfortunately, but I am finding CPA offers that convert nicely. It seems that more and more networks are starting to understand that not all "contextual" networks are the same, like Google's content network. So when they realize it's adware, they knee-jerk tell you that it's forbidden.

I think it's terribly short sighted, but oh well...

So anyway, for now I'm just following Gauher's PPV methodologies to the letter and they are working. I've also DEFINITELY found that as you start to produce traffic and leads, the networks get a LOT more interested in helping you.

Oh and it helps if you're about to be on the Top Affiliate Challenge show too. LOL

just want to add been having a knock-down dragout battle with MTA....
in a good way... nice guy the one I work with....

they seem to have a policy about NOT giving any helpful info....

but after MUCH contacting proding asking insisting
finally he gave some interesting info....

didn't help me much though....

left CJ and joined Copeac and Clickbooth

the problem I'm finding with this traffic source is that the people DO-NOT click on the popups.....

or if I find an offer that they do clickon it doesn't convert....

or that I called the affiliate network on the fact that there advertisers were NOT repsecting the cookie policy (30 day minimum) there cookies either ended at the end of the session or 24 hours later ...
they said they would look into it recontacted me excusing the problem
then no news......

SO after 20000 popups a bunch of high traffic offers tested I conclude that this traffic source is really a hard nut to crack....

I'm not sure if there really are people making $$$ using this traffic source as they say...

jonathan your last post leaves to imply that you're returning to PPC,
is this because honestly you too are finding this traffic dificult to convert?

I see that MTA bought out WhenU.... why networks don't sell a working affair... maybe they lost to many clients... the traffic source didn't convert
law of the jungle... the weak die....

I would really like to hear someone speak the truth hear...
I'm tired of the half truths...

BTW I did finally find an offer that got clicks...
in the cash advance area .... I actually
was getting about One click out of 25 impressions...

no conversions though...

the offer paid out $8.80 ... real weak ...
contacted the network and told them
that it was impossible to make $$$ on a
highly competitive offer like that ... and that
I'd be luky to break-even.. they raised it to $11
wow... it still didn't convert....

so I did make some $$$ though ....
I'm at about 50% loss....
I guess it could be worst....

in a way I'm kind of glad it's really
NOT easy cause there will be ALOT of people
that will QUIT this traffic source, I'm still positive
that there's a way to to crack this nut ....
but NOBODY'S going to tell you how to do it 100%

they want to make $$$, have there egos validated
but DONOT want the competition.....

not dumb huh....

so Jonathan I've been truthful here....
can you be truthful here too

can you honestly say that you're still making
$$$ with this traffic? ($1000 a day)?

Thanks for the great comments adminx. Sorry I took so long to approve them!

Yes, things have changed a LOT just in the last few weeks. Despite my getting written (and verbal) approval from BOTH CJ AND the merchants I was sending traffic to, now they (CJ) have done a 180 degree turn and are saying that ALL contextual traffic is forbidden - EXCEPT FOR CLICKSOR!! Why that is, I have absolutely no idea. They say they "haven't had problems with clicksor yet" whatever the hell that means.

CJ appears to be on the warpath against contextual traffic. And just to be clear - I'm talking about sending traffic to my own landing pages where the user even still has to click!! But no, CJ says absolutely not allowed and if I continue to use those traffic sources, they will kick me out.

So... needless to say I'm not putting a ton of energy into CJ at this time. Actually I've been so busy finishing up a software project for Gauher and a few other things that I haven't been doing 1/10 of the campaign building & testing I need to do. I have however figured out how to make good ol' CPA offers work, and now have a campaign doing $50 to $100/day on autopilot to a single CPA offer. So I'm pretty happy about that, now it's just time to apply what I've figured out and scale it as high and wide as I can!

Jonathan

Oh P.S. Sorry CJ booted you... that's lame if you ask me! They talk out of both sides of their mouth. :(

these are all high traffic high paying offers but somethings up
I'm waiting from a call from cj network quality
but I'm sure that they won't have anything to say....

somethings up with VOM... clients just aren't getting what I'm sending
and of course nobody know anything....

1st 48 hrs I made 5 sales with about 3000 clicks and less than 1000

impressions then after no sales you see below 13000+ clicks only 91 veiws and 1 sale
and that 1 sale is from the second day.... and since nothing.....

Hi John,
So will we hear about your re-kindled love affair with PPC soon!!
As an LPgen and SpeedPPC owner i'm used to doing it the slightly complex way but also having a deal of control which I like...
I have some info from various reports on PPV and CPA methods (some very recent from some excellent WSO's!), would you say that Gauhers info is streets ahead of any of these more general instructions?
I guess it's a case of saving oneself from a lot of trial and error...

Cheers
